Default Reward calculator, do you get anything besides titles above 30 points?

Hello,

I haven't played in a long while, and when I did I almost exclusively played PvP, anyway I know Guild Wars is coming out soon, is the release date set in stone?, I heard it was March 2011, is this correct?.

I have been working on my rewards calculator and I only have one question is there any reward at all in-game, for going past 30 points? (ignoring the titles at 35-40-45-50), from the information I can gather in the calculator you get nothing but titles at 35-40-45-50. i.e. 49 would be EXACTLY the same as 45 (you don't even get a new title), is this correct?.

Thank you in advance,

Oscar

There is currently no reward associated with any point levels above thirty except those divisible by five. There is no current indication that those rewards are going to change.

Sorry for posting on the wrong forum, thank you for moving my thread to the correct forum.

Regarding your last answer I believe you meant to say past thirty points instead of fifty?. Thank you for your answers =)

Yep. I'd put a lot of money on GW2 not being released in 4 months.

Currently, there is no specific release date. "It is ready when it is ready" as the saying goes. Don't believe all those off-sites saying that it will be released on so and so day. When you see it on the official GW/GW2 site, then it is official. Otherwise, disregard any release dates.

There is nothing after 30 in the HoM. Everything after 30 is and will be titles. They don't plan on adding any more rewards after 30, as the casual gamer can reach 30. The die hard players that farm nothing but titles to get to that 50 mark, will be rewarded exactly that. A title. That is why 31-50 is just titles. For those that do the grind and farm titles to get those last points.

as far as we know, u only get titles after 30. here's for hoping that they are just waiting to release the rest of the in-game reward items though

I don't think they'll be adding any more items. The rewards are likely finalized, I don't see anything hinting at possible future additions. On the other hand, once you've hit 30 points, the Calculator clearly states that all the items available are unlocked.

I think too that 30 is the top limit after which you won't get any more items, only titles. The game has to be focused towards casual players, so imho it would be counter-productive for ANet to exchange actual items with titles very difficult to obtain by casuals (because they are time consuming, so it's hard for casuals to find the time to do them, not because they are actually difficult). However, i also think that a lot of people are trying hard to reach 50/50, even if they are "casuals". I don't know how much people are willing to stop at 30/50 compared to those that want to achieve 50/50 at all costs, though.

The 30 items we get likely cost ANet $20k in wages for the artwork and scripting. It's unrealistic to expect them to spend that much money on stuff that only 10k players will ever be likely to get. For what it's worth I'm pretty sure anet did some data mining when deciding on the limits. A pretty tiny segment will even make it as far as 30/50, anet may have been aiming at the ~100k player range.
